I received a weekend pass to The Gluten free and Allergen Friendly expo in exchange for coverage of the event. All opinions are my own.
There are a group of the eight major allergenic foods, often referred to as the Big-8. They are milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soybean. Cooking food that is safe for everyone to eat is possible. You can eliminate allergens right at the source by buying products from companies that are committed to providing Gluten free and Allergen Friendly foods and by buying fresh food.
The Gluten free and Allergen Friendly expo is coming to Denver on Apr 21 and Apr 22. Visitors can chat with over 100 brands, sample products, receive coupons, and come away feeling part of a community and armed with new recipes and snacks to try. And.. did I mention there will be classes? The line up for the classes is versatile and a great way to complete the Expo experience – examples of classes are : how to live with chronic conditions, healing inflammation, tactics to sleep well , living gluten free for 30 plus years. You can attend these classes during the expo.
The GFAF Expos are the largest and fastest growing special diet consumer events in the US. Started in 2007, the events are professionally managed and have expanded from one to eight cities throughout the United States. In addition to meeting the needs of the Celiac community, the Expo welcomes those with gluten sensitivities, auto-immune/inflammatory diseases and autism.
