Remove the stems from the cilantro and parsley and put in a belnder
Add the garlic, chillies, salt and cumin and blend for a few seconds
Slowly drizzle in the olive oil. You don't want to make it too smooth.
Finish with the lemon juice. Adjust seasonings.
Boil a pot of water and add a pinch of salt in it
Drop the asparagus in the boiling water and cook until done. The asparagus will be dark green and just a bit soft.
Remove from hot water and dunk the asparagus in cold water to stop cooking
Remove from cold water and let it dry on a clean kitchen towel
Rub the salmon with onion powder, garlic powder and the salt. heat a pan on high heat and add the oil.
carefully lower the salmon into the pan , skin side down and allow to cook for about 2-3 minutes on high - until the skin crisps up and the salmon is almost cooked.
Flip over to the other side and finish cooking
once the fish is cooked , sprinkle with the chilli flakes and remove on to a wire mesh to finish resting.
Meanwhile, in the same pan add the asparagus and toss to heat it through.
Serve the asparagus with the fish and the sauce.
