Put all the ingredients in a pan except the pears.
Bring to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes
Serve hot in cups or if using the pears, hollow out the pears and serve them in the pear cups.
The pears are quite yummy after you drink the cider.

I made this non alcoholic and also increased the number of cloves per portion. Yvettes original recipe has some tequila incorporated. I will make that soon too!
