spinach bomb

Drinking green smoothies does not have to be a nose curling exercise. Exercise is important but nose is not part of the body one should have to lift and tone. Should it? So when a green smoothie came along, the first thing I usually would do was to make a face, curl my nose and tell myself I am drinking it because it is so good for me. Then I gave up on the green ones and along with that I gave up on a fantastic idea of a breakfast on the go.

But we were not done, the Green smoothies and I. They managed to win me over and make me swoon and fall in love with them. Persistent little things I must say, but then it is to be expected of a green health bomb like spinach. Lets count the ways it is great for us..

It is a rich source of minerals, vitamins, pigments and phytonutrients. All these together make spinach very beneficial  especially for our eyes, nervous system, cardiovascular disorders, skin & bones.  And it is not very expensive, grows quickly in a patio vegetable bed as well.

  2. Very healthy green bomb!!!

  3. i always avoid green smoothies, for some reason the green color always remind of bitter gourd juice… i have had too many of this juice…. thank god you have added apple to the smoothie and with a bland spinach, the apple must have overpowered the spinach as well as the cucumber… one green smoothie i will give a try :-)

  4. This sounds really tasty. I love the combination, but I’d probably leave out the celery. Green drinks have also won me over.

  6. I love the bomb. The green adornments in your photo are fabulous. They make an attractive photo. I have to work on myself to make this. I have stayed away from the green drinks but you are inspiration.
